New Dhyana Mandir Dedication Program, April, 2017

A long cherished desire of Bhubaneshwar devotees for a permanent Dhyana Mandir found fulfilment on April 8,2017. Swami Smaranananda and Brahmacharis Gokulananda and Shambhavananda from Yogoda Satsanga Society of India participated in the dedication ceremony. The function began with a Prabhat Pheri early in the morning, followed by aarti and meditation.

Swami Smaranananda read out the special message sent out by our revered Sanghmata and President, Sri Sri Mrinalini Mata to the devotees of Bhubaneshwar. Rejoicing on the sacred occasion of the mandir dedication, Sri Mrinalini Mataji encouraged everyone to come together at the mandir, where each one can help others to create, by their united concentration and devotion, an environment where the mind is naturally drawn toward God- where it is easier to set aside for a while the pressures and clamour of daily life and dive deep into the sacred silence of the soul. She expressed how pleased Guruji is to see how the Bhubaneshwar Dhyana Kendra has grown, not only in numbers, but in the spiritual vitality that comes from devotees' efforts to meditate together regularly.

In his satsanga, Swamiji spoke about the importance of devotion, the various types of devotion, and how one can cultivate devotion. The inauguration was followed by bhandara. Around 300 devotees attended the function, and they all expressed their love and gratitude to God and gurus for providing them with this wonderful Dhyana Mandir.

Located in the calm environs of Sailasree Vihar, the mandir has spacious area of 1836 square feet, and is the second YSS owned property in Odisha (the first being in Puri). It has a meditation hall that can seat about 100 people, and a book room. The Kendra building was lovingly constructed and donated by a devotee, with help from other Bhubaneshwar devotees.
